Field is the companion app to the platform, for iOS, Android and tablets. Once synced, every assigned meter is on the device. Each entry is stored there first and uploaded once there is signal again — nothing waits for a connection, nothing is lost in a dead spot.

Entry that works standing at the meter
A mistyped reading costs real money. The entry flow is built to prevent it.
One box per meter digitA large custom digit pad instead of the OS keyboard — every digit visible and correctable on its own.
Several registers per visitOne visit, N values: HT, NT, consumption, feed-in — as one operation instead of four separate entries.
Previous value and consumptionThe previous reading and the calculated consumption sit right beside the entry. Rollover is detected and confirmed.
Numbers you cannot misreadSerial numbers like 1ESY-0421 read unambiguously: zero and O look different, and digits always line up.
02 · Offline & sync
The basement is the normal case
The screens work with the database on the device, not with the server. Upload is a separate, visible process.
Local database on the deviceAfter the first sync, every meter in the assigned properties is on the device. That needs signal once, and not after.
A queue, not an errorEach entry is saved immediately and queued for a worker that drains it in the background.
Status always visible“23 readings waiting to upload” — tappable, inspectable, retryable. Never a silent failure.
Conflict-free by designReadings are only appended, never changed. Two devices can work the same property without overwriting each other.

What else happens in the basement
Reading is only part of the visit. Field covers the cases that otherwise end up on paper.
Meter exchange as one recordFinal and initial reading captured together — the history at the metering point stays intact.
Photos with a torchPhotograph the reading and serial number, light switched from inside the camera view. Photos stay in the app, not the gallery.
Add and decommission metersRecord unknown meters on site, decommission removed ones with a reason — instead of a phone call later.
Tours and searchWork property by property, find meters by serial number or address.

Field runs on company devices, often used by more than one person.
